Basic Usage

This guide will walk you through the basic steps to generate your first black wallpaper using the Black Wallpaper Generator.

Step 1: Access the Tool

Navigate to the Black Wallpaper Generator by:

  • Searching for "black wallpaper" on the homepage
  • Browsing the Display category
  • Directly visiting /black-wallpaper

Step 2: Choose Your Color

Using Predefined Colors

  1. Look at the Color Options section
  2. Click on any of the 8 predefined black shades
  3. The selected color will be highlighted with a blue border
  4. The preview will update to show your selected color

Using Custom Colors

  1. In the Custom Color section, click the color picker
  2. Choose your desired shade of black
  3. Alternatively, enter a hex color code (e.g., #000000)
  4. The preview will update automatically

Step 3: Select Resolution

  1. In the Resolution section, click the dropdown menu
  2. Choose from common resolutions:
    • 1920x1080 (Full HD) - Most common desktop resolution
    • 2560x1440 (2K) - High-resolution displays
    • 3840x2160 (4K) - Ultra-high resolution
    • 1366x768 (HD) - Laptop displays
    • 3440x1440 (Ultrawide) - Ultrawide monitors
  3. The preview will show the selected resolution

Step 4: Generate Wallpaper

  1. Click the Generate Wallpaper button
  2. The tool will create your wallpaper using HTML5 Canvas
  3. The generated wallpaper will appear in the Generated Wallpaper section
  4. You'll see the wallpaper info including file size

Step 5: Download or Copy

Download Wallpaper

  1. Click Download Wallpaper button
  2. The file will be saved as black-wallpaper-[resolution].png
  3. Use your system's wallpaper settings to set it as your desktop background

Copy to Clipboard

  1. Click the Copy button next to the generated wallpaper
  2. The wallpaper will be copied to your clipboard
  3. You can paste it directly into image editors or other applications

Step 6: View History

  1. Scroll down to the Generation History section
  2. See all your previously generated wallpapers
  3. Click on any history item to regenerate it with the same settings
  4. Use the delete button to remove unwanted history items

Quick Tips

  • For OLED displays: Use pure black (#000000) for maximum battery savings
  • For minimal setup: Choose the darkest shade available
  • For professional use: Select a resolution that matches your display exactly
  • For quick access: Use the history feature to regenerate favorite wallpapers

Troubleshooting

Wallpaper Not Generating

  • Ensure you have selected both a color and resolution
  • Check that your browser supports HTML5 Canvas
  • Try refreshing the page and generating again

Download Not Working

  • Check your browser's download settings
  • Ensure pop-ups are not blocked
  • Try using a different browser

Copy to Clipboard Failed

  • Ensure your browser supports the Clipboard API
  • Check that you have granted clipboard permissions
  • Try downloading instead of copying
