Basic Usage
This guide will walk you through the basic steps to capture screenshots using the Screenshot Tool.
Step 1: Select Capture Mode
The tool offers two capture modes:
Full Screen Capture
- Captures the entire screen including all visible content
- Includes all open windows and applications
- Best for capturing complete desktop states
Visible Area Capture
- Captures only the currently visible portion of the webpage
- Excludes browser chrome and other applications
- Best for capturing specific content or interfaces
Step 2: Configure Settings
Image Format Selection
Choose from three supported formats:
- PNG: Best for screenshots with text or sharp edges
- JPEG: Best for photographs or images with many colors
- WebP: Modern format with excellent compression
Quality Settings (JPEG only)
- Adjust quality from 10% to 100%
- Higher quality = larger file size
- Lower quality = smaller file size
Cursor Options
- Include Cursor: Shows the mouse pointer in the screenshot
- Exclude Cursor: Hides the mouse pointer for cleaner images
Step 3: Capture Screenshot
- Click the "Capture Screenshot" button
- Wait for the capture process to complete
- The screenshot will appear in the preview area
Step 4: Review and Download
Preview Features
- View the captured screenshot immediately
- See image dimensions and file size
- Check image quality and format
Download Options
- Download: Save the screenshot to your device
- Copy to Clipboard: Copy the image for pasting into other applications
Step 5: Manage History
Viewing History
- All screenshots are automatically saved to history
- View thumbnails of previous captures
- See capture details including timestamp and file info
History Actions
- Download: Re-download any previous screenshot
- Delete: Remove screenshots from history
- Clear All: Remove all screenshots from history
Tips for Better Screenshots
Before Capturing
- Close unnecessary applications for cleaner full-screen captures
- Position your cursor appropriately if including it
- Ensure the content you want to capture is visible
During Capture
- Wait for the capture process to complete
- Don't move your mouse during visible area capture
- Ensure stable internet connection for best performance
After Capture
- Review the preview before downloading
- Check file size and quality
- Save important screenshots to your device
