Local-Only Processing

The Screen Dead Pixel Detector runs entirely in your browser. No screen captures, pixel data, or test results are sent to external servers.

Data Storage

  • Marked pixels and history records are stored in your browser's local storage via Pinia
  • Exported reports are saved directly to your device as JSON files
  • Clearing browser data will remove saved history

Permissions

The tool may request fullscreen permission to display test colors across your entire screen. No camera, microphone, or screen-recording permissions are required.

No Network Requests

During a test, the tool does not make network requests. Solid colors and gradients are rendered with CSS — no images are downloaded.

Safe for Work Environments

Because all processing is client-side, the tool is safe to use on corporate networks and does not transmit display information outside your device.
